Dominoes fall via wireless tech(Video)

Thursday, February 3, 2011

Probably most of us love the look of falling dominoes. But these new hi-tech wireless dominoes take it to the whole new level.
They interact with each other using wireless technology and can topple each other without even touching.
Each domino have number assigned to them so then they fall they trigger the next one to fall and so on.
They don't really look like like the classical dominoes with all those lights that indicate their number(which looks pretty cool in my oppinion).
This technology also allows multiple dominoes to fall at the same time (If they have the same number) which is pretty awesome.
I don't know if they are going into mass production someday, but i sure hope so.
Developed by the Jarashi Suki and the IAMAS Ubiquitous Interaction Research Group in 2009, the tiles themselves and a video about them are being exhibited at the National Art Center in Roppongi until February 13.
